Our name, "Neverblackdown," embodies our core values: resilience, empowerment, and an unwavering commitment to overcoming adversity.
Through our programs, we help youth identify their natural gifts and talents, then teach them how to monetize these skills and turn them into small businesses. By fostering confidence and creativity, we equip the next generation to break barriers and create lasting success.

Our Story
Founded in 2017 by visionary Executive Director Reginia Summers, Neverblackdown was created to empower and uplift underprivileged communities in Washington, D.C. Her mission was simple yet profound: to promote unity and resilience within the city’s most economically distressed neighborhoods.
At the heart of our work is a commitment to transforming lives. Our mission is to empower young Kings and Queens with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to break barriers, advocate for themselves, and create lasting success. We envision a future where every young person has the opportunity to discover their unique talents, monetize their skills, and build thriving businesses that contribute to their communities.
The name "Never Black Down" reflects our core values of strength, perseverance, and an unwavering belief in the potential of every individual. This uniquely coined phrase has grown into a movement, inspiring empowerment and progress throughout the D.C. Metropolitan Area.
